Harvester Underwear - Semper quo operiebaris sub ubi. Also, Geordi Gras.

We would like to apologize for the lack of postage yesterday. The Phil Are GO! staff had the day off to work on their costumes for our Geordi Gras parade, which is the festival of Geordi La Forge, patron saint of engineering, reading, and abused air filters.

There's no wrong way to celebrate Geordi Gras, but we're trying.

Today's ad is all about underwear. Harvester bets you can't wear their underwear out., try as you might. How does one "try" to wear out your underwear? The few images that spring to mind are not tidy.

How do the pros at Harvester wear out underwear? Why, with a father-son underpants dance party, of course! Yep! That's right! Bleah!

There's nothing inherently creepy with this picture, assuming it's just a father and (hopefully) his son just doing the boogaloo in their underwear, but taken out of context, it should make your scalp to the heebie-jeebie like it's trying to crawl off your skull. So, what are we waiting for? Let's take it out of context! Graphic gift coming right up!

There, isn't that better? Of course not. You're welcome! You can use this image to lend a little a lot of inappropriate street cred to any social function, from a company bake sale to a PTA meeting. When the authorities arrive at your house to borrow your hard drive, tell them we don't know you. I'm off to have a silkwood shower. See you tomorrow.

Fortunately my little son is all grown up, but I can picture his 5-yr-old self asking "Why is Superman hitting that boy, Daddy?"

Because that's no boy, that's Mister Mixelplick, or however you spell it. And no, I'm not dorky enough to check the spelling of Mxtelplickq.

P.S. I would like ot take this time to predict that there will be some kind of frivolous photo sharing app called Pxelplick. Thank you.

Harvester-Perveril is more like it -- that or NAMBLA.

Also, found a pronouncer, but it still doesn't make much sense: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mister_Mxyzptlk. BTW, Supe's writers couldn't even keep the spelling straight, even in a single story!

I'm sure you'll enjoy the illos on the Wiki page.

From the Wiki page:
" In most of his appearances in DC Comics, he can be stopped only by tricking him into saying or spelling his own name backwards (Kltpzyxm - "kel-tip-zix-um")"
What a ridiculous plot point. I'm pretty sure this would be impossible, but maybe Ol' Supe has super-tricksy intelligence, too? I'm not nearly curious enough to go and read the comic to find out, though.

Sounds a lot like the ol' Rumplestilskin ploy. Get's 'em every time!
