Neighbors and Helpers - Fun at the park.

For some reason, there's an outside chance that today will be a nice day in Chicago - like, close to seventy degrees. If you live somewhere, you might consider having some fun at the park. Here's how they did that in 1939, as learned from our copy of the school book Neighbors and Helpers.



See? You could do something like this. Serving suggestion only: clothing and flowers may vary.

The park is ever so grand, really it is. It has a pond, wherein the laws of reality are subject to whim.


A child on a swing a forty yards away appears to be the same size as the tiny women that decorate the the edge of the pond.
Of course, you must always be careful not to enjoy the pond too much.


If you don't live in the city, Neighbors and Helpers has still got you covered. You can have just as much fun on a nice day in the country, like Billy and Jean.

Ah, the good ol' metal slides that burned like the surface of the sun on hot days and were likely to catch your legs on fire from the friction as you slid down. :wipes tear:
